AN URGENT casting call has been issued in Limerick for the public to feature as extras in "two major, high-profile productions".
MovieExtras.ie has advertised a notice for people over the age of 18 to join them at the Clayton Hotel, Steamboat Quay, Limerick city on Sunday, April 6 from 11am to 5pm for a paid opportunity to feature as a movie extra.
The open casting call will see the Limerick public be in with a chance to feature in one of two high-profile productions, which are being shot in Limerick over the next four to five months.
One of those productions is rumoured to be a medieval fantasy TV show, with "lots of stunt action, the wonder of visual effects and some incredibly cool sets".
Registration is free and no experience is necessary.

"We’re thrilled to be working on two major, high-profile productions filming in Limerick over the coming months — and we want you to be part of it!," said a spokesperson from MovieExtras.ie.
"This is a fantastic opportunity to step onto a real film set, get a behind-the-scenes experience, and see what life in the industry is all about.
"We’re especially keen to hear from people who can travel to Limerick for early call times, as early as 6am, and who are up for long and exciting days on set."
This is the second time since February that an open casting call has been issued for people in Limerick to appear on-set of TV productions, as a hit US gameshow Don't Forget The Lyrics is being filmed at Troy Studios from Wednesday, April 9 to Tuesday April 15, with Emmy Award winner Niecy Nash as host.
Additionally, the hit box-office war movie Bonhoeffer was filmed in parts of the city in 2023 with a budget of €22m and more recently, 4 Kids Walk into a Bank starring Liam Neeson was shot in some Limerick city locations in January this year.
