THE REPOSAL of a father-of-five, who was tragically killed while cutting a tree, took place in Abbeyfeale this Tuesday morning.
Locals had the opportunity to pay their respects in Harnett’s Funeral Home following the passing of Hari Pletkovic, of Reacaslagh, Brosna, Kerry; Abbeyfeale, Limerick and formerly of Croatia. The 46-year-old’s cremation took place in Shannon Crematorium at noon.
It is understood Mr Pletkovic was cutting down a tree in Brosna on Friday when the fatal accident occurred.
A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Authority said: “The HSA is aware of the incident and has launched an investigation. As such, no further information is available at this time.”
Mr Pletkovic is very sadly missed by his wife Zeljka, children, mother, all his relatives and friends.
A GoFundMe page was set up by his friends to raise money to pay for his funeral. Over €5,000 has been donated.
“Hari was full of life, always willing to help anyone, happy to share a drink and chat with the wonderful friends he had made in the small community of Brosna, Kerry. Hari had become such a huge part of the community very quickly.
“We, Hari’s friends, are raising money to pay towards his funeral. Hari is survived by his five children, the youngest is only three-years-old and his heartbroken wife Zeljka.
"Please give whatever you can so that we can relieve some of the worry and strain from Hari’s family and give Hari the send off he so very much deserves,” reads the appeal on the GoFundMe page.
