ICONIC music retailer HMV is back in Limerick after almost a decade.
The chain is set to open a new store locally in the middle of May.
It's the first time it has retailed in the Mid-West since September 2016 when the chain closed its final store in Limerick city, at the Crescent Shopping Centre.

It ceased trading at Cruises Street in Limerick city centre back in January 2013.
And it is to the Dooradoyle shopping centre the music will stat again, with the retail hub taking to social media this Friday to confirm its return.
It is expected to open in the former Gap unit, which is currently home to a pop-up beauty outlet run by businesswoman Joanne Browne.
In mid-May, HMV will move into that unit.
It's expected that the unit will have a purpose-built performance space in store.
The hope is HMV will be able to draw signings and performances from both established international artists and grassroots local bands.
The renowned music and entertainment retailer returned to Ireland in 2023 with a store in Dublin.
