Limerick homeowners renting out their houses for €85,000 for Ryder Cup week
HOMEOWNERS across Ireland look set to make a fortune by renting out their houses during the Ryder Cup in 2027 with properties on offer in Limerick, Clare, Galway, Tipperary, Offaly and further afield.
The massive golf event takes place at Adare Manor in late September 2027 as Europe takes on the USA for bragging rights on Irish soil for the first time since 2006 when the event was held at the K Club in Kildare.
Houses from across Ireland have been popping up on the popular Accommodation for the Event website with some requesting fees for rental for seven nights in the region of €85,000. Many of the listings are 'price on application' but others have been revealing the asking price publicly.
One of the most incredible adverts on the site is for Springfield Castle in Limerick which can be rented out in its entirety for €50,000. It can sleep up to 15 people and is located on a 200-acre wooded estate.
The ad reads: "When you stay at Springfield Castle the place is exclusively yours. Springfield Castle is located within an hour from Limerick, Cork and Killarney and is an ideal base to tour from. We are just a 25 minute drive from Adare Manor."

One man, who wishes to remain anonymous, told us why advertising his house to rent for seven nights during the Ryder Cup in 2027 was "a no-brainer."
He said: "Why not? I heard friends talking about it in the pub one night and said I'd put it up and see. I got a bit of advice on it. I live near a few golf courses too so it was a no-brainer.
