A TEENAGER has been charged this Sunday over a shooting incident in Limerick city last month.
Last Tuesday, gardai in Limerick arrested two men as part of ongoing investigations into an incident where a firearm was discharged in the Hyde Avenue area of Ballinacurra Weston on Thursday, May 8.
During the course of the operation, gardaí also seized suspected controlled drugs with an estimated street value in excess of €28,000 at a domestic residence.

The two men, aged in their twenties and late teens, were conveyed to garda stations in County Limerick and detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
This Sunday, a garda spokesperson said the man in his late teens has been charged in connection with the shooting.
“He is due to appear before a sitting of Limerick District Court at 10.30am on Monday. The second individual arrested, a man in his twenties, remains in garda custody.
“Investigations are ongoing,” said the garda spokesperson.
