The late Michael Hayes who had a warm smile for everyone he met
THE FAMILY of Michael Hayes has sincerely thanked all of his neighbours in Watergate, especially Vinny Lee, for their prompt action on the night he was killed.
The death notice of Mr Hayes on rip.ie reads: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Michael Hayes, St Michael's Court, Watergate, Limerick on July 10, 2025 tragically near his residence.”

Mr Hayes will repose at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Thursday, July 17 from 5pm to 7.30pm. Funeral will arrive on Friday, July 18, at St John's Cathedral, Cathedral Place, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Mount St Oliver Cemetery."
He is pre-deceased by his parents Mike and Esther, his brother Joe and sister Rose
Sadly missed by his heartbroken sons Tom, Michael, Brendan and Joe, his beloved grandchildren, other relatives and large circle of friends.
