Cash and jewellery were among the items stolen in thefts from cars in Limerick
CASH and jewellery were among the items stolen in thefts from cars in a Limerick suburb.
“Between August 7 and 8 in Cambridge Close, Castletroy, a car was left unlocked overnight and a bag of toiletries was stolen,” outlined Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran, Crime Prevention Officer, Limerick.
“In another case, just after 1.50 a.m. on August 12 in the Milford, Grange area of Castletroy, a thief entered a vehicle through the back passenger door, stealing jewellery and a small amount of change before fleeing,” Sgt O'Halloran added.
The crime prevention officer is advising motorists to always lock their vehicles. “Don’t leave valuables or anything for that matter visible inside the vehicle as we can see here this vehicle was targeted for low value coins and a piece of jewellery.”
