Two goals from former Longford Town striker Aaron Dobbs clinched the win for Wexford in the SSE Airtricity League First Division clash played in difficult wet conditions at Bishopsgate on Saturday night.

Scoreless at the break, the home side broke the deadlock in the early stages of the second half when a speculative shot from Francis Campbell slipped through the hands of the Wexford keeper Charlie Heffernan.
Dobbs equalised for Wexford in the 65th minute and he scored the winner from a glancing header in the 85th minute. Longford were left furious as Gary Armstrong seemed to have been struck off the ball and was down injured as play continued for Dobbs second goal.
With just six points on the board after the first phase of fixtures, the Town manager Stephen Henderson will be hoping that things will improve - starting with the home game against Bray Wanderers on Saturday night next.
