Lisryan Tidy Village Committee are looking for volunteers to help out on Saturday, April 13 from 11am to 1pm
This month is the month for An Taisce's National Spring Clean, Ireland's nationwide anti-litter campaign which takes place during the whole month of April.
Community groups across Longford are organising events in a bid to improve the overall appearance of the county.
In 2023, 5,640 groups registered to carry out clean-ups throughout the country - Volunteers who participated in the Spring Clean 2022 collected an estimated 2,600 tonnes of litter.
Lisryan Tidy Village Committee is one of the groups hoping to brighten up the area.
They are looking for volunteers to help out with the National Spring Clean initiative on Saturday, April 13 from 11am to 1pm. The clean up will be followed by refreshments in the Crossroads Inn.
Both young and old welcome, and a gardening and plant potting workshop will be held in Lisryan Community Park for all kids in attendance. The meeting point is the Community Park.
