The Longford Arms Hotel will host the event
Longford Age Friendly Information Day is a great opportunity for meeting others and getting further information about services that are available for older people.
This year's event will take place on Monday, September 30 in the Longford Arms Hotel.
Longford Age Friendly Information Day is hosted by Longford County Council, Longford Age Friendly Alliance, and Longford Older Person’s Network.
The event will be opened by Longford County Council Chief Executive Paddy Mahon and Longford Older People Council Chairperson Kitty Burkhill.
Attendees will have ample opportunity to talk to representatives from organisations who have services catering to older people.
Organisations in attendance include the Health Service Executive, Citizens Information and Community Gardaí, and the Council’s Age Friendly Programme.
Longford County Council and its services catering for older people will also be highlighted.
Council teams in attendance on the day will include Libraries and Archives, Local Sport Partnership, Healthy Longford, Healthy Age Friendly Homes, Sláintecare Healthy Communities, and Longford Community Safety Partnership.
Prebooking of tickets is essential as places are limited.

The event takes place on Monday, September 30 in the Longford Arms Hotel. Registration starts at 10.30am, with an opening address calling a start to the event at 11am.
A light buffet lunch will also be served at the event.
