During the year there was extensive refurbishment of the Lanesboro Ballyleague branch office.
This work, which is nearing completion, is intended to provide enhanced facilities for staff and members.
It is also a sign of Credit Union's commitment to the local community and the intention to continue to provide personal service to members in a modern office environment.
They intend to renovate the Longford branch office in the coming year. Credit Union is aware that members value the personal service offered by staff throughout the branch network and it is their intention to continue to provide the necessary staffing and resources in this area of the business.
The Lanesboro Ballyleague branch renovations include the installation of solar panels to provide renewable energy, this initiative is aligned to the objective to become a more sustainable business.
Where possible Credit Union intends to install solar power in all branches over the next few years.
Their move to digital distribution of their statutory reports and notices to members is another example of progress in this area and this has already generated significant financial saving and reduced paper usage.
North Midlands Credit Union generated surplus of €8.3 million after an encouraging year.
