Killoe's Kevin Corcoran won the All Ireland Safety Representative award at NISO's (National Irish Safety Organisation) 31st annual Occupational Safety Awards in Galway last Friday.
He works for Kiernan Steel and is part of a very active Safety Rep team.
Between management, staff, managers & safety reps, they assist daily in keeping everyone safe. The award is a fitting tribute to the work Kevin has put in & all the Safety reps & staff in the company.
Kiernan Steel went onto win a Higher Distinction Award. The Safety Team is headed up by Longford's Kim O'Brien and Gary Connell. They lead a very hard working dedicated team.
Longford was well represented in Galway with Gem Construction & Longford County Council also featuring in the awards.
