Strap yourselves in for another out-of-this-world event at the Louth Village Community Hub.
Mini-Con Louth is back on Sunday 11th of June at 1pm with an action-packed event that promises fun for all the family and an experience not to be missed.
The main attraction is a live chat and meet & greet with original Star Wars Stormtrooper Ian Durrant. Ian played a Stormtrooper and a rebel in 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back, returning as a rebel in 1983’s Return of the Jedi.
He is also known for his work on Judge Dredd, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, James Bond, Flash Gordon, Doctor Who and many more movies and TV series.
Also in attendance will be Rogue Squad, movie accurate Stormtroopers, Judge Dredd Cosplay and Ghostbusters Ireland along with their proton packs and containment unit.
For the budding artists, illustrators and hopeful authors, Martin McCanney will be live sketching and presenting exclusive prints for sale, author Brona Mills will have special offers on her range of time-travel based book series, and graffiti artist Rask will be painting a mural live at the front of the venue.
Complete Collections will also be there with an extensive range of Pokemon cards and booster boxes, and hope to run a live Pokemon Go Tournament. For anyone into their Lego mini-figures and playsets JAR Bricks will have over 200 mini-figures for sale on the day.
Table-Top Gaming will also be on the agenda with Battle Inc. joining the fun for anyone interested in taking part or even curious to give it a try.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive in cosplay, with a prize for best costume and a Mega-Raffle to close out proceedings.
Everybody present will get to have a chat or grab a selfie with Ian, or get their Star Wars memorabilia signed as an optional extra. There will also be a range of Star Wars prints available for budding autograph hunters out there.
Tickets are available now on www.eventbrite.ie and cost 40 euros for family pass, 15 euros for adults and 10 euros for kids. For more info check out Sci-Fi Talks Ireland on Facebook.
