Dundalk Railway Heritage Society is running an outing to Downpatrick this Saturday 19 August, to visit and travel on Downpatrick and County Down Railway.
The outing departs from the Long Walk Bus Station at 10 am and returning to Dundalk, leaving Downpatrick at 4.30 pm.
On the outing, before travelling on the only Irish Standard Gauge preserved railway in Ireland, there will be time to visit places of interest like Down Cathedral, St. Patrick Centre and Down County Museum.
The fare is €25 and includes entrance fee to the Downpatrick and County Down Railway and steam railway museum.
Tickets are available from the Tourist Office at the Market Square in Dundalk, which is open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 4.30pm.
