Diners enjoyed the BIGFAN pop up restaurant in Mo Chara
One of Dublin's coolest restaurants from Aungier Street, BIGFAN, arrived in the town for one legendary event on Tuesday, September 26th in Dundalk's Mo Chara.
Fresh from their Michelin Guide 2023 accreditation, guests were presented with an exciting menu of authentic and experimental Chinese small bites, sharing dishes and cocktails.
Think unreal Chinese food but served in an innovative tapas style!
Dishes served on the night included mouthwatering Jaozi dumplings, juicy corn ribs and duck wings, and tasty dessert spring rolls.
But it doesn't stop there! Mo Chara was transformed into a bustling gambling den from deep in Hong Kong, with games, hidden messages, red lighting and chopsticks.
BIGFAN and Mo Chara brought guests an incredible experience, with a live DJ set by the BIGFAN front of house crew.
BIGFAN built their new HQ in the midst of the pandemic and have since grown a loyal fan base with their passionate vision to bring new flavours to Dublin city.
Overcoming challenges presented by the pandemic, BIGFAN reached out to allies across the country and found huge support– from one in particular, Mo Chara Bar and Restaurant in Dundalk.
The Dundalk crew, known for their strong sense of community, decided to lend a helping hand.
They pooled together and organised secret meeting points and a distribution network to cater for the dine at home meal boxes the BIGFAN crew had developed to create awareness of their new spot.
The BIGFAN Mo Chara takeover was a huge success with tickets selling out in record time.
