Louth gardai detect 22 'lifesaver offences' using HGVs

Over the course of the morning and early afternoon 22 lifesaver offences were detected on the M1 alone

Dundalk and Drogheda Roads Policing Units carried out an operation yesterday using HGVs to detect lifesaver offences as part of operation Iompar.

Using the lorries gardai say they were able to detect numerous offences that would have been more difficult to detect using normal patrol vehicles as they were able to see into drivers vehicles much more clearly.

Over the course of the morning and early afternoon 22 lifesaver offences were detected on the M1 alone.
