Tributes paid following sad death of beloved Louth woman who 'loved life'

Evelyn Murphy (née McLoone) passed away on Monday

Tributes have poured in following the sad death of Evelyn Murphy (née McLoone), late of Hillview, Drogheda, Co. Louth, formerly of Sheephouse, Donore.

Evelyn passed away on Monday, October 14, peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Tony and sister Geraldine, Evelyn, loving mam to Gavin and Lorraine will be so sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, daughter-in-law Carol, son-in-law Richard, grandchildren Megan, Jake, Luke, Cian and Clodagh, sister Mildred and Rita, brother Peter, sisters-in-law, brother-in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Evelyn, with one mourner writing,

"Sincere condolences to Gavin, Lorraine and all your family on the sad loss of your mam. What a lovely person she was and I was so glad to her and your dad .May she rest in peace now with your dad together again. R.I.P Evelyn."

Another wrote,

"Such said news of the passing of your dear mam Evelyn She was such a lovely lady always at time for a chat She will be sadly missed."

While another wrote,

"Deepest sympathy Gavin, Lorraine and extended family on the passing of your beautiful mum, she will be sadly missed and no doubt have touched the heart of a lot of people leaving some very fond memories. May her gentle soul rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at her Home from 4pm until 8pm on Wednesday evening.

Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am in The Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Donore with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
