Kay McKevitt (née Murphy) passed away on Tuesday October 22
Tributes have poured in following the sad death of Kay McKevitt (née Murphy), late of Back Lane, Carlingford and formerly Bóthar Brugha, Drogheda.
Kay passed away peacefully in the tender care of staff at the Beacon Hospital, Dublin, on Tuesday, October 22.
She is predeceased by her parents Paddy and Chris and brother Conor.
Kay beloved wife of Terry and loving mum to Siobhán and Terry, will be sadly missed by her husband, daughter, son, son-in-law Phelim, daughter-in-law Elaine, granddaughters Eva and Chloe, sister Jean and her husband Roy, sister-in-law Denise, and all her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and remembered Kay, with one mourner writing,
"So sad to hear of lovely Kay's passing. She was such a lovely, lovely person and we will miss her lovely smile. To Terry and all the family we offer our sincere condolences. Rest in peace dear friend."
Another wrote,
"We are so sorry to hear of Kays passing. Kay was a lovely, kind, warm hearted and funny person. We Will always remember her Smiling face. Sincerest condolences to you all at this time. May she rest in peace."
While another wrote,
"Kay you are beautiful in every way. A true lady, always kind, witty and gentle. You will me missed by all that were lucky enough to have been graced by your presence. My condolences and love go to her family especially during this tragic time."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at the residence of her daughter Siobhán, River Lane, Carlingford (Eircode A91AH01) from 3pm - 8pm on Friday afternoon for friends and neighbours to call.
Removal on Saturday morning proceeding on foot up Castle Hill, down Newry Street, around the Square pausing briefly outside the Village Hotel before continuing on to St. Michael's Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am.
