The death has occurred of Fr. James McAteer I.C. (Rosminians), late of Annaverna, Ravensdale, Dundalk, St. Teresa’s Parish, Diocese of St. Petersburg, Florida, and latterly Dublin
On 13 July 2025, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Nazareth House Nursing Home, Dublin. Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Rose, his brother Harry and nephew Martin. He is deeply mourned by his sisters Mary Begley and Kathleen McFadden, sister-in-law Catherine, his Rosminian Confreres, nieces, nephews and his extended family.
Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at 12noon in the Church of St. Mary, Ravensdale, Dundalk, on Wednesday 16 July with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Pat McConnell of Green Road, Dromiskin, Co Louth
Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Sunday 13 July 2025. Pat, son of the late Felix and Ellen née Clarke, brother-in-law of the late Sean Woods and Brian Thompson, beloved husband of Robin (Kathleen) née Kwiatkowski, dear father of Pamela, devoted grandad of Fionn, Oran, Saorlaith and Croía, and brother of Martina Thompson and Siobhan Woods. Pat will be sadly missed by his wife, daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law Eamonn McAuley, sisters, sister-in-law Yvonne Mann, Aunt Teasie, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street from 3pm to 7pm on Tuesday. House private at all times. Removal from his home on Wednesday morning arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am in St Peters Church, Dromiskin. Burial in Dromiskin Cemetery.
