The death has occurred of Kathleen Ann Gernon (née McQuillan) of Monica Drive, Widnes, Cheshire, England and formerly of St. Fursey’s Terrace, Blackrock, Co Louth
Peacefully, in Whiston Hospital, England, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday 11 January 2026. Kathleen, beloved wife of the late John, predeceased by her loving parents James and Patrica, brother P.J. Seamus, Henry, sister Phylis, sister-in-law Peggy.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Pauline, sons Andrew and Jason, son-in-law Gary, daughters-in-law Julie 1 and Julie 2, grandchildren Mark, Daniel, Calum, Grace, Jamie and Alex, great-grandchildren Curtis and Alma, brother Denis (Dundalk), Mary (Blackrock), Margaret (Dundalk) all her nieces, nephews, all the extended members of the McQuillan and Gernon families

Peacefully, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday 15 January 2026. Sean, loving husband of the Maurita née Magennis, dear father of Ronan, Niall, Tara, Fionn, Miki, and the late Shane, adored grandad of Anna-maí, Zofia, Claudia, Freya, Holly, Nola, Shay, Shona, Lír, Rio, brother of Marie, Ann, and the late Tom. He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren, daughters in law Lisa and Christine, son in law Arthur, Niall’s partner Gwen, brother, sisters, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Removal on Saturday morning from this home at 10.00am walking to St Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.30am. Burial in St Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardstown. Peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Wednesday, 14th January 2026. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Cissie, her sister Madge and brother Joe. She will be sadly missed by her much loved husband and best friend Tommy, her devoted and loving children Majella, Christina, Ron and Tammy, her cherished grandchildren, sons-in-law Ronan, Gavin, and Simon, daughter-in-law Eimear, brother Jim, sisters Nora and Detta, nephews,nieces, extended family, great neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Finlay's Funeral Home. Tierney Street, Ardee, on Friday from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning leaving Funeral Home at 9:45am to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee arriving for 10am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Old St. Mary's Cemetery.

Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday 15 January 2026. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Rose and brothers Michael and Charles. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her husband Tony, her children Emer (Barry Mc Elroy), Deirdre (Zoran Ivic), Sinead (Ollie McArdle) and Fergal (Merrilyn Campbell), her darling sister Margaret (Coghlan, Dublin) and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Much loved by her grandchildren Patrick, Sorcha, Fiona, Nicola, Oliver, Lucas and Thomas and her nieces, nephews, extended family, many good friends and neighbours.
Reposing at the family home on Friday 16 January from 3pm-8pm. Removal on Saturday at 11.20am to the Eternity Room of Quinn's Funeral Homes, Dundalk, to arrive for a Funeral Ceremony in celebration of Colette's Life at 12 noon. A private cremation will follow.
