Scoil Uí Mhuirí in Dunleer hosts LMETB board meeting

LMETB CEO Martin O’Brien, Scoil Uí Mhuirí Principal Úna Kirk and outgoing chair Cllr John Sheridan at the LMETB board meeting in Dunleer

This years annual meeting of LMETB was held in Scoil Uí Mhuirí Dunleer last week. Outgoing chair of LMETB, and local councillor John Sheridan said: “For my final meeting of my year as ETB chair, I was delighted to have the chance to bring the board here to Mid-Louth to see the great work done in Scoil Uí Mhuirí and what a welcome the school gave! 

Cllr Sheridan continued, “The whole school community certainly pulled out all the stops and I’d like to note the fantastic students who did the welcoming of board members including music on arrival. They gave a wonderful impression of Scoil Uí Mhuirí."

The meeting was one of the six meetings per year of the board and has over 20 members from across Louth and Meath including councillors, staff representatives, parent’s representatives and is also attended by ETB senior staff.

Principal Úna Kirk thanked her staff and students for their hard work in preparing the school for the board meeting and addressed the start of the meeting to welcome members to Dunleer. At the end of the meeting, Cllr John Sheridan handed over the chains of office to the new chair Cllr Damien O’Reilly from Meath
