The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has just got more exclusive with the unveiling of the limited-run ‘Luna Rossa’ edition.
The car has been built to celebrate and represent the sponsorship between Alfa Romeo and the Luna Rossa sailing team.
The car features lots of exterior styling tweaks to improve the car’s aerodynamics with carbon fibre side skirts, air intakes in the front bumper and a large rear spoiler supported by two central pylons, which the Italian firm claims has been inspired by the hydrodynamic wings of Luna Rossa’s AC75 sailing boat, which lift the boat onto the water.
The bodywork is hand-painted in an iridescent colour to reproduce the metallic effect of steel, while there is a two-tone livery with a red side band and the wording ‘Luna Rossa’. Further upgrades include 19-inch red-shaded wheels, and for the first time on an Alfa Romeo, the badges on the car are set against a red background.
Inside, there are Sparco bucket seats with exclusive upholstery, the dashboard fascia is made up of a wafer-thin film, which is designed to look like the original Luna Rossa sail, while the centre console and seat backs feature the ‘Luna Rossa’ logo.
The car is powered by the same 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine found in the standard model, which produces 513bhp and tops out at 186mph.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa will be limited to just 10 units worldwide, with all examples now sold.
