Farizon set to introduce new ‘V7E’ van

Farizon will reveal a new midsize van called the ‘V7E’ and will be the firm’s entry-point into electric commercial vehicles.

Farizon is a Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer that is owned by Geely, which also owns well-established brands such as Volvo, Polestar and Lotus.

Details on the V7E are limited at this stage, though the firm says that it will sit below the larger ‘SV’ van and will offer ‘class-leading cargo capacity, payload and range.’

Exterior images have not been revealed, but the V7E will use the firm’s LED ‘tomahawk’ headlight design.

It’s anticipated that the interior will have a similar design to the SV; featuring a flat floor, a digital driver’s display, a central infotainment screen and physical shortcut controls for the climate control.

The van will come with the option of two battery packs, and it’s likely to be the same 67kWh and 83kWh units found in the SV, which deliver claimed ranges of 247 miles and 342 miles, respectively. Further details on the van’s batteries will be revealed next week.

The V7E will be going up against vehicles such as the Kia PV5 Cargo and Ford E-Transit Custom when it arrives in showrooms later this year.

The Farizon V7E will make its debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show, taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, on April 21. Details on the van’s pricing and UK availability will be announced at the show.
