In an update shared on the family's official GoFundMe page this Tuesday morning, September 3, her family shared teh happy news that she had been discharged fron Temple Street Children's Hospital.

"On Friday 30th of August, after 281 days, we were discharged from Temple Street Children's Hospital," the update read.

In an update posted some days earlier on August 28, the little girls mother shared more about her daughter's recovery, and about the horror of the day of the attack.

"9 months and 5 days ago our lives were turned upside down," she wrote.

"At 1.45 pm, I got the worst phone call I could ever get: 'Something happened! Your daughter was stabbed in front of the school."

"I ran over and saw a horrific site. I saw my little girl lying on the ground. Doctors and paramedics trying to get her heart beating and air in her lungs."

She praised "the amazing team at Temple Street Children's Hospital" who saved her child and who have worked with her throughout her recovery.

"Our little warrior has a few things going for her: she is young, she was a healthy girl before this all happened, she has a great team working with her, a loving family, loving friends, and prayers from all over," her mother continued.

"One hour at a time turned into one day at a time. Now we go one week at a time. Soon it will be one month at a time.
There is no rush. We will take the blessings as they come."

Almost €100,000 has been raised for the little girl and her family through the GoFundMe page, which was set up in the days after the Parnell Street attack.

A man in his 50s, Riad Bouchaker, has been charged in relation to the attack.

The two other children who were injured on the day, along with their carer, Leanne Flynn, have all since been released from hospital.
