ALERT: Services suspended on Cork-Dublin line after truck smashes into level crossing

Irish Rail services between Cork and Dublin Heuston have been suspended after a truck crashed into a level crossing in county Limerick.

According to a social media post from Irish Rail, a "truck has struck a set of level crossing barriers near Emly, county Limerick".

The 8am Heuston to Cork has stopped between Limerick Junction and Charleville, and the 09:25 Cork to Heuston is expected to be held in Charleville.

"Crews are en route," Irish Rail said.
