Sandra Collins was last seen on December 4, 2000
To mark National Missing Person's Day 2024, gardaí have renewed their appeal information on the whereabouts of Sandra Collins who was last seen 24 years ago.
Ms Collins was last seen at 11pm on December 4, 2000 at the County Kitchen on George's Street in Killala, County Mayo.
The last sighting was shortly after she bought chips in a local takeaway and a pink fleece, later found on the pier in Killala, was subsequently identified as belonging to Ms Collins.

Renewing the appeal, Detective John Costello, who has worked closely with the family of Ms Collins over the years, said: "Perhaps you have information you thought was insignificant at the time, or it could be that after 24 years have passed, your circumstances have now changed."
Gardaí hope that "with the passage of time, people may feel more comfortable sharing information with us."

Gardaí have said that anyone with new information brought forward will be treated with "confidentiality, compassion and sensitivity."
