The search for a man who had not been seen for a week has been stood down, following the discovery of a body.
On Christmas Day, gardaí sought assistance from members of the public in tracing the whereabouts of Ruairi Lynch, who had been reported as missing from his home County Kerry.
According to the appeal, the 48-year-old was last seen in the Killarney area of County Kerry on Thursday, December 19 at approximately 8am.
In an update, issued this St Stephen's Day, gardai confirmed the search has now been stood down.
"Following the discovery of a man's body, the missing person appeal in respect of Ruairi Lynch has been stood down," said a spokesperson.

No further details have been disclosed publicly but gardai have thanked members of the public and the media for their assistance with the appeal.
