An appeal for help in locating a teenage girl who was reported missing on St Stephen's Night has been stood down, gardai have confirmed.
In an appeal, issued on Friday night, gardai expressed concerns for the well-being of Kayla Walsh, 14, from Tallaght in Dublin 24 who, at the time, had not been seen for more than 24 hours.
However, in an update, issued this Saturday, they confirmed there has been a positive outcome and that the appeal has been stood down.
"Kayla Walsh, 14 years, who had been missing from her home in Tallaght, Dublin 24 since December 26, 2024, has been located safe and well," said a spokesperson.

While no further information has been disclosed publicly, gardai have thanked members of the public and the media for their assistance during the appeal.
