Gardaí rush on to flight diverted to Dublin Airport amid worrying reports from pilot
Gardaí were forced to board a flight diverted to Dublin Airport on Monday after concerning reports from the crew on board.
Gardaí have confirmed that on Monday morning, a United Airlines flight from Amsterdam to New York was diverted to Dublin Airport due to what they described as "a disruptive passenger on board."
"Gardaí from Dublin Airport boarded the aircraft and arrested a man in his 30s," they added in a statement.
"The man has since been charged with an offence under the Air Navigation and Transport Act and will appear in custody at Dublin District Court CCJ on Monday evening," they concluded.
The news comes amid a landmark case being taken by Ryanair against a passenger whose behaviour forced a flight to be diverted last year.

The airline is taking a case for €15,000 in losses incurred as a result of the incident. This comes amid a push against disruptive behaviour on board passenger planes following a number of well-publicised incidents.
