You could catch a rare sighting of multiple planets as they are set to be visible over Irish skies over tonight and tomorrow.
Sharing a post to X (formerly Twitter), a spokesperson for Carlow Weather said: "Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will be visible in the sky tonight with five of the seven planets Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Mars and Saturn visible to the naked eye.
"However, Mercury and Saturn will disappear out of view early into the evening after sunset. To see Uranus and Neptune, you'll need to have a pair of binoculars or a small telescope.

"The best time to see them is just after sunset and good news is clear skies are forecast tonight Thursday night for many areas but a little cloud is possible in some spots. Sadly a lot of high cloud is likely Friday night."
The forecast for tonight according to Met Éireann is: "Tonight will be mainly dry with long clear spells and just isolated light showers. Frost and some icy patches will form with temperatures falling to between -3 and +2 degrees. Some mist patches will develop too and maybe the odd patch of fog, as winds will just be light and variable."
So you may just spot a planet!
