Gardaí issue update on man (50s) missing from home for four days as search stood down

A 52-year-old man who had been the subject of a missing person appeal has been located "safe and well", gardaí have confirmed.

Stephen Heffernan - described as being approximately 5 foot 8 inches in height, with a medium build, grey hair and blue eyes - was reported missing from his home in Kilcloon, Co. Meath, since Thursday, February 27.

He was last seen in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, on Thursday, February 27 at approximately 9am and was wearing a navy jumper, a navy jacket, blue jeans, and navy/black Sketchers runners.

"Gardaí would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance," a garda spokesperson said.
