Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic incident involving an e-scooter recently.
The incident occurred in Ballyconnell in Cavan where two boys were injured as a result.
The incident occurred on the N87 near Black Ridge roundabout at approximately 7:15pm yesterday evening on Tuesday 20th May 2025.
The road is closed for technical examination, with local diversions are in place, gardaí said.
A male child was conveyed to Temple Street Children’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, according to An Garda Siochana.

A male teen was conveyed to Cavan General Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
Gardaí have said investigations are ongoing.
