ALERT: Popular children's product from Dealz recalled amid choking fears

All sizes are affected

Well-known discount store Dealz is carrying out a recall of a popular children's accessory due to fears of choking.

The product in question is the Pepco baby frotte cap in the shade blue and there are approximately 568 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

The item is being recalled because the button may detach from the garment, in turn creating a small part. This small part may be placed in the mouth and swallowed, causing a young child to choke.

The brand is Pepco. The product codes are 871590 and 871591.The style number is 871586. The barcodes are 5045731150841 and 5045731150858. All sizes are affected, which are 6-12 months and 12-36 months.

Customers should stop using the product immediately, keep it out of the reach of children and return it to any Dealz store for a full refund, no receipt is required.
