A takeaway run has cost one Irish driver dearly with what social media users have dubbed "a pricey pizza" after being fined by gardaí.
The motorist was spotted illegally parked in a disabled bay without a permit by gardaí, and returning to the car carrying a pizza.
Sharing a photo of the car in a post on X, Gardaí said: "Santry Roads Policing Unit whilst on patrol observed the driver of this vehicle returning with a pizza to this vehicle parking in a disabled parking bay.

Gardaí regularly highlight examples of illegal parking and unsafe driving on social media, warning that drivers risk fines and penalty points for similar behaviour.
Disabled parking bays are reserved for blue badge holders, with gardaí warning that offenders face fines of up to €150 if caught, with repeat offences leading to stiffer penalties.
