Search stood down for missing

The search for missing 47-year-old man Andrius Liaucius has been stood down following a tragic update from Gardaí on Thursday.

Andrius Liaucius was reported missing from Ballitore, county Kildare, on January 23, 2026.

Gardaí said he was last seen in the Tallaght area and may have access to a black Hyundai Tucson with the registration 181WH.

Gardaí have now said in a statement.

"Following the discovery of a body of a male, the missing person appeal in respect of Andrius Liaucius (47) who was reported missing from his home in Ballitore, Co. Kildare on the 23rd of January 2026, has been stood down."
