Two urgent recalls have been issued by Ireland's Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) over concerns that the items may lead to electrocution.

On Tuesday, March 10, a safety issue was identified with the AYMBH 2 pin to USB plug travel adapters that were sold on Amazon.

The product presents a risk of electric shock. According to a CCPC notice, the user can touch part of the adapter that is at high voltage. The person could then receive an electric shock and may be electrocuted

The Brand is AYMBH. The type/number of models is AYMBH128. The bar code is X002AYM5EL and the Amazon ASIN is B0DJVM9429.

There are approximately 23 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

Customers are advised to stop using the product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children. Amazon can be contacted via a user account with any further issues or queries.

Also on Tuesday, a recall was issued regarding an egg poacher that was sold on the AliExpress platform for similar reasons.

This product also presents a risk of electric shock. In this case, the accessible metal parts of the appliance, such as the cover or external parts, are not sufficiently protected from live electrical parts.

Due to this, the CCPC have said that the appliance is not sufficiently robust and so, an impact or fall could expose the user to the risk of electrocution.

The AliExpress Product ID is 1005009040364926. The model number is 7 eggs 1 once and there are approximately 3 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

If you purchased one of these products, please stop using it immediately. Customers have been told to contact AliExpress directly with questions or queries following the product recall.
