Search stood down for 16-year-old girl missing over two weeks as Gardaí issue update

The search for a 16-year-old girl who has been missing more than two weeks has been stood down.

Teenager Julia Tache was reported missing from Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan on Sunday April 5, 2026, at approximately 9pm.

Julia, who frequents Blanchardstown, Ballbrigan and Naas regularly, was described as being approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a slim build. She has black hair and brown eyes.

In an update on Tuesday, Gardaí have said the search for the 16-year-old has been stood down as she has been found safe and well.

Gardaí have thanked the public for their assistance.
