Sean O'Connor helped UCC win the Sigerson Cup colleges football final this week when they beat UL by 1-16 to 0-16 after extra-time in the final played at SETU Waterford.

The Tipperary and Clonmel Commercials player was introduced as a substitute and scored one of the three points in the first period of extra time that effectively won the game for the Cork university.

It was UCC's 24th Sigerson Cup title and was achieved the hard way in a final played in wet and windy conditions at the Waterford venue.
