Coláiste Mhuire host 'Pancakes and Earthquakes' fundraiser

Last Tuesday, students and staff were treated to delightful and decadent aromas from the Home Economics Department as a group of students with their teachers, cooked copious amounts of pancakes. More importantly, following the recent natural seismic disasters in Turkey and Syria, the occasion was used as an opportunity to raise funds for those unfortunate displaced victims of the region.

To promote the fundraiser, our Home Economic students adapted a slogan, ‘Pancakes for earthquakes’. We would like to thank everybody who helped in any way to coordinate this most needy fundraiser and to all those who bought pancakes or made financial contributions.
