Tipperary student acknowledged for a 'selfless act of kindness'

Roísín Bedford congratulated for her kindness on International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day was celebrated in St Mary’s last Wednesday.

Fifth year student Róisín Bedford was acknowledged for her selfless act of kindness in helping a stranger who needed medical assistance while Róisín was in Dublin with her music class the week previously.

Róisín was able to put her first aid training into use. She seamlessly passed the necessary information to the paramedics and remained calm throughout.

Our female music students made videos of their pieces of work for social media.

Also Mr Hickey’s History classes made a display of different inspiring women in history, including a piece on Sister Catherine McAuley who founded the Sisters of Mercy.

Throughout the school many classes participated in designing posters for International Women’s Day.
