The winning team in the Captains’ Drive-In competition at Cahir Park Golf Club on Sunday last included Jake Lindy, John Cashman, John Walsh and Pauline Mulcahy, with club officers.

Happy Easter to all members and to your families and to all club sponsors and Suppliers.
It is the season that starts golf in earnest for the year. Thoughts turn to Teams and Interclub Competitions. The long evenings provide the opportunity to Members to play a few Holes after work. May the sun shine and may everyone enjoy good golf throughout 2023.
Captains Drive-in
Sunday was a superb day in Cahir Park Golf Club and a memorable day for Captains John Hughes and Mary Lyons, President Paul Adamson and Junior Captain.
A sumptuous reception was hosted before the celebrities of the day shot long drives down the first fairway to the cheers of fellow golfers, family members and friends. With over thirty teams of four playing a straight Scramble, the Course 18 Holes were well tested and well praised for excellent conditions.
Stories of great shots and near putts were recalled over the evening feast and to the sound of the wonderful Pheasant Pluckers.
The Captains and President expressed thanks to everyone who organised, facilitated and participated in the Drive-in and presented the prizes.

A further wet week and well done to everyone who braved the elements.
Winner of 12 Hole Stapleford competition was Julie Connolly (11) 29pts, second place went to Breda Keating (12) 27pts. Great scores and congratulations.

Find the Golfball
The latest find the Golfball draw took place on Sunday the 2nd April. The envelope drawn was Rosemary O'Donnell’s and her number was 13, not a winner. Rosemary receives €20.
Next draw, Saturday, April 8. Jackpot €820.
