The Church of the Assumption, Burncourt recently celebrated the 70th anniversary of construction. The church remains an important part of Community life and hopefully will continue to be used for the foreseeable future.
Like all churches, finance continues to be a problem. Our Parish Priest, Fr. Bobby Power asked for help to fundraise and off-set costs. A concert has been arranged to generate finance.
The concert features the Choral Groups – Ballyporeen Choir and Cahir-to-Sing. Other participants are ‘The Bugs’ - Ballyporeen Ukelele Group and Burncourt National School.
Individual performers: Michael Fitzgerald, Michael McGrath, Tom Costello, Sean Crotty, Pat Tracey, Mick Dunlea, Tom Quirke and Gerry Griffin. These are all very fine singers.
Venue: Burncourt Church on this Friday, November 17 at 8 pm. Tickets €15 available at Maureen Creed's Shop Burncourt or call 087 2222564. Support would be very much appreciated.
