Tipperary's Brian Gleeson has been named to the Ireland squad for the U20 Six Nations campaign which gets underway next month.
The former Loughmore Castleiney hurler goes into this year's campaign as one of the more senior players in the squad, having played a key role in the Grand Slam win at this level last year.
Gleeson is named to the strong 31-man panel which is captained by Limerick’s Evan O’Connell, with both players along with Joe Hopes and Hugh Gavin part of last year’s squad.
In addition to O’Connell and Gleeson, the other Munster players named in the squad are Danny Sheahan, Sean Edogbo, Luke Murphy, Jake O’Riordan, Stephen Kiely, and Munster Academy man Ben O’Connor.
Ireland will take on World Champions France in the first game on Saturday night, February 3rd in Stade Maurice David. Full fixture list below.
