Two stalwarts from Kilfeacle and District RFC have raised almost €5,000 in a charity rugby game. Jack O’Sullivan and Bernard O’Callaghan arranged an over 35's charity match with players coming together from various clubs in Tipperary and Limerick to participate.
On the night a Tipperary all-star mix of Kilfeacle and Clanwilliam players took on the mighty Limerick Leprechauns. The famous Effin Eddie from Aherlow was MC on the night.
The winners were presented with the Rachel Kenneally Cup by the Kenneally and Hanley families.
Jack and Bernard received great support from the businesses for the event and there was a huge array of prizes, including a number of jerseys raffled on the evening.
Accepting the cheque on behalf of Circle of Friends, Mary Teresa O’Donnell said that she was extremely grateful to Jack and Bernard for all the hard work they put into the charity match. She said that the game meant so much to her personally as it was in memory of her late niece Rachel Kenneally.
