The new captains of County Tipperary Golf and Country Club, Danny O’Dwyer and Marie Graves, had their first outing recently and what a day it was, playing in the Greenkeeper's Revenge.
This is where the greenkeeper sets up obstacles on the greens for the golfers to navigate through, to get the ball into the hole. Compliments are extended to greenkeeper Brian Webster and his staff.
Many of the golfers turned out suitably dressed for the festive season. Before setting off in teams of four they were treated to a hot chocolate, with a little spirits added for those who wished.
The event was fortunate with the weather, which added to the enjoyment. Golfers were also treated to mulled wine in The Venue Clubhouse on the completion of golf.
The winners were Sean Carroll, Liam Ryan (Con) Sharon Fahy and Michael Stapleton. In second place were Bridget Shearman, George Ryan, John Buckley and Dermot O’Dwyer.
The best seasonally dressed lady and gent were Caroline Maher and John Graves, well done to both of you.
