LIVE: Met Éireann makes change to weather warning for Tipp as county buried in snowfall

Be advised - there has been an adjustment to the Status Orange snow and ice warning

Met Éireann has made a slight change to the weather warning for Tipperary as the county is buried in snowfall this Sunday morning with traffic disruption, power outages and many events cancelled including bingo in Cashel on Saturday night. 

Moyglass bingo on Sunday night has also been cancelled. 

The duration of the severe weather warning for snow and ice in Tipperary has been extended by three hours to Sunday at 8pm - it was due to expire at 5pm. 

Further falls of sleet and snow leading to significant accumulations are expected.

The impacts will lead to very difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility, travel disruption delays to public transport likely (air, rail, bus), difficult conditions underfoot and animal welfare issues.
