The closure of L-7614 William Street in Clonmel from its junction with Bolton Street and Upper Gladstone Street will begin in early February

Council to close street in Clonmel town centre for a month due to water mains project

Tipperary County Council has made an order to close the L-7614 William Street in Clonmel from its junction with Bolton Street and Upper Gladstone Street for a month starting on Monday, February 9 due to a water mains replacement project.  

The council has given notice that the street will be closed from 7am on Monday, February 9 until Monday on March 9. 

Traffic will be diverted via the R-688-11 Upper Gladstone Street, the L-7613-0 Morton Street, L-3605-1 Mary Street, L-3605-2 Bolton Street and onto the R-707-2 Queen Street, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

The street closure is to facilitate the replacement of old water mains and reinstatement of the road carriageway, verges and footpaths.
