Prospects – Cappincur have been a phenomenal club over the years, winning regular championships in the lower grades and holding their status at senior level for a while. A small rural club with a small area to select from, their peaks have tended to be followed by spells in the valley before they come again. They look to be heading into one of their valley periods and when they do that, a step back to the third tier is never far away. Yet, they have a sufficient quality of player to make them contenders for this grade. They have a very good back bone and are hard to beat. Eoin Carroll got back to his best for Offaly seniors this year after taking time out to travel in Australia and he is their most important player. Younger brother Bill, also a county standard footballer, who opted out of the Offaly panel this year, is also very influential and they command respect.
