Roscrea chosen as location for North Tipperary Hospice headquarters

North Tipperary Hospice is delighted to announce that the new head office for the organisation will be located in Roscrea.
Ahead of the creation of the new headquarters, a temporary office has been set up in 10 Main Street, Roscrea and is a place of welcome to anyone in the community that needs advice or support about the services North Tipperary Hospice provide.

Welcome Helen
The Board of the North Tipperary Hospice are delighted to announce that Helen Walshe has taken up the post as the Administration Coordinator. Helen has worked in Roscrea for many years and is very involved in the local community.

Roscrea Cancer Care Centre
For many years Anthony Bourke and the Roscrea branch of North Tipperary Hospice have worked very hard fund raising and lobbied for a centre for Roscrea and North Tipperary Hospice Movement are delighted to announce that it has recently purchased a suitable building in Castle Street Roscrea and have applied for planning to renovate this building to be used as a Cancer Support Centre.

The people of Roscrea and surrounding parishes will see a modern fully equipped community centre where people with a cancer diagnosis or life limiting illness can avail of information on the medical treatments from a nurse, can avail of counselling or complimentary therapies, group activities and much more.

The public in Roscrea and surrounding parishes have been very generous in various fund raising activities for many years and it is very positive to see these funds now being spent on providing a community cancer care centre for Roscrea people and people from the many parishes located near Roscrea.

How can you help?
On Friday 27th of September the Roscrea Branch of Hospice will Host the Bewley’s Big Coffee morning in the new office on 10 Main Street Roscrea. Your support would be much appreciated so please call in for a cup of tea or coffee and refreshments and to see the plans for the new centre.

Every year Bewley’s select a Hospice Hero and this year the Hero is Roscrea's Eileen Kennedy, who has dedicated much of her life working for the community of Roscrea.

Come along to the coffee morning on the 27th September and meet Eileen, who will be on hand to help and tell you all about the new plans for the Roscrea centre.

Eileen Kennedy, Helen Walshe and the Roscrea Hospice Branch members will all be present to meet you at the coffee morning and your support would be much appreciated for this very worthy cause.
