BIRR k-1 kickboxing had four fighters competing on a WKO sanctioned light fight night.

It had 22 fights matched and the first WKO low kick light contact title fight in Ireland.

Ryan Kennedy was first onto the mats for Birr. Ryan displayed hands of lighting followed by whipping kicks and impressed everyone in a evenly matched fight and won a unanimous decision.

Eirk Sevelis was second up for Birr and fought a heavier bigger opponent who was also very skilled. His opponent had a point taken away in round 1 for heavy hitting. Eirk was elusive and was springing in from distance to score and move out of danger really well. It was a great fight. Eirk lost a very close spilt decision.

Benas Raukas stepped onto the mats and took this fight on seven days' notice. Benas fought an extremely smart fight controlled distance and moved well and won a unanimous decision.

Alex Hough was making his debut for Birr k-1 kickboxing and he was 17th on the card and the crowd was getting bigger as the title fight approached. It takes guts to fight in front of a large crowd. Alex had a great fight and gave his all and lost a split decision in an evenly contested battle and had the crowd on their feet applauding at the end.

Every fighter from Birr put in a performance to be remembered and displayed speed skill timing and discipline.

As one of the Irish Kickboxing Team coaches and judge, Raphael Creamer's job was to judge the last five fights, including the WKO Irish title fight.
